Im currrently not uptodate for the mat prefixes to get soft alpha blending but it is documented in the wiki ! No, it's not. It looks like your alpha is not correct set. You need a soft transition not a clipped alpha (that is mainly used for stencil out purpose like plants), so the one on your shot ...

Id like to make rays similiar to this : http://media.pc.ign.com/media/492/492830/img_3077290.html 2) How can I make an anima...

Im not THAT good at texturing, but i'd suggest to edit the skin a bit. Photo's can be perfect references, but they just look bad to use them directly imho. Good work anyway! :D

Well, if you want to put your sky brushes into the normal world, then you can just do so: Just put them in. No special action required. ;) And when i have very detailed sky geometry, the performance sucks like hell... The Point here is, that they sky brushes should have different fading, fog...

Well, 3D-Skyboxes are cool (ive mapped for CSS and HL2 though^^). But also a bit long winded. You need to make a new world for your map on 0,0,0 coordinates, scaled by 0.15 etc. etc. I would prefer another way. You make your map and you define the parts, who are far away (eg. mountains) with ...

Back to server listing from client, i think there are only two ways to solve that issue. I suggest that the second one is better. - Implementing a Routine into the client, that connects to a masterserver given by a configuration file. - Writing a external server browser who connects to a master serv...

Carsten, are you planning to have some kind of "Find servers" functionality, or are we going to have to specficy an IP every time we want to connect to a net game? I think, for that you need first a master server who collects all IP's of the gameservers and gives them to the clients. And then you n...
