Re: Is there a main function?

For the general Problem: The main function is in Ca3DE/CaFU.*pp and the mod itself has none. When you inspect the Sconscript and set the linker paths in your IDE (HELL of work, I can tell you!) you got the right autocorrects and inclusions.

Re: Cafu doesn't run for me whether compiled or from binary

Hey Weaponx169,

I got cafu running on 3 Ubuntu 11.10 installations. Can you tell me what kind of errors you get? Do you run the binaries from the cafu root directory?

Re: Cafu Freezes when trying to save among other issues

Hi mosher 1. Did you compile the maps? You need to run at least CaBSP if you make changes to the maps 2. Did you download the textures pack like described in http://www.cafu.de/wiki/cppdev:gettingstarted 3. Did you check the CaLight or CaPVS Option aswell? If those Options are checked, the compiling...

Re: Manually setting Z-Index in GUI?

Okay, I did the trick other ways. I just finished the last features I wanted to have. Now the GUI can handle: Dynamic GUI Size (GUI Size == Window Size) Dragging Windows - Droppable and reverting Restict Dragging to one Area of the Draggable Window Dropareas with multiple acceptance classes Multiple...

blurred icons

Hi @ll, I am using small images for icons. I made the images 48x48 pixels and set them as Background for a 48x48 Pixel instance of WindowT . Here is my Material definition: Textures/Icons/Wood { diffusemap #/Textures/Icons/Wood.png LightShader none noDynLight } the "Sharp"-Definition comes from a re...

Carsten wrote:In "Git lingo", you might consider RemoveChild() and AddChild() as the "plumbing" commands that you could use to implement a SetParent() "porcelain" command. ;-)
Well, that is maybe the best idea :) I will consider doing it this way before submitting the patch :D

Re: Manually setting Z-Index in GUI?

Did it!

I changed the "AddChild" method not to throw an error if there is aleady another Parent Window but ro remove the old parent and then add the child.

Is there any reason why there should be an error thrown?

Re: Manually setting Z-Index in GUI?

Ah, okay. Well, I think that will be the very best solution :)
I will try this as next step, as soon as the dynamic gui size changing works, in other words - as soon as I get rid of that linker error ^^

Re: Manually setting Z-Index in GUI?

Okay, did the first part of the trick: The GuiSys now has a pointer to the currently dragged window. So when a window renders its children, the dragged window is ommited, and the main render call from the GuiSys renders the dragged window afterwards. So while dragging it is always the topmost elemen...

Manually setting Z-Index in GUI?

Hi @ll,

is there a way to oveeride the Z-Index Settings of WindowT instances? I have a Problem with the (almost finished!!!) Draggable Classes, that I cannot drag an element over a later created Element. So I need to Set the currently dragged element to the highest Z-Index.

Re: Dynamic GUI size

Okay, finally I did the Trick. It is rather easy - replacing the constants with static members, adding a method to GuiImplT to call gui:getSize() . Now I have Added an Event to the GUI, gui:OnSIzeChange() , but I would need to know the Event that is called internally when the Window is being resized...
