Build Error - 2015.01.02 git pull Linux x64
Howdy, it's been a while since I've used Cafu and I've run into an error while building the latest code. I cloned the repo and installed the pre-requs. Using Linux Mint 17 64Bit. Here be the error: ~/Workspace/cafu $ scons scons: Reading SConscript files ... Checking for C library png... (cached) ye...

Some strange issues when using the Carve Tool
So, I was working on how I wanted to physically build a structure that looked essentially like a water tower (sort of a ball on top of a stick), when I discovered the following issues. I am wondering if I did something wrong to produce the issues or if it's the tool not working as intended. 1. I cre...

Re: Moving "down" from the bottom of the Z plane to 0x,0y,0z
OK, I have tried the suggested code on two maps, one with a sphere centered at 0,0,0 and one with a cube centered at 0,0,0 and I can safely that the code changes do not work as intend. Here's what happens: Cube: With the starting position on the "top" side, I was able to move around as normal. Once ...

Re: Moving "down" from the bottom of the Z plane to 0x,0y,0z
I think this would be a fun (and potentially useful, for orbital simulations, etc.) feature to have in the Cafu engine. Let me know what you think! :) Agreed! :cheesy: The code that applies gravity "normally" is /// Changes the velocity according to gravity. void PhysicsHelperT::ApplyGravity(double...

Moving "down" from the bottom of the Z plane to 0x,0y,0z.
Doing this would allow a person to make a map as spherical "planet", where objects fall toward the center of the sphere, rather than down the Z plane. The way I would use this is really quite simple actually, 1. Make a pretty big spherical shape. 2. Move the sphere's center to 0x,0y,0z. 3. Build a s...

Re: Trouble changing movement speed and camera height.
lol... I am so dumb. After I compiled the changes, I *assumed* the changes would be made in the deathmatch.dll, but in actual fact the changes are made right in Cafu.exe itself. So... of course I wouldn't see the changes if I didn't replace the Cafu.exe in the root Cafu dir! Talk about a "face palm"...

Re: Trouble changing movement speed and camera height.
Hi Tatwi, What system do you use? Windows? Linux? Would you mind upgrading to r625 that I've recently uploaded? (Especially if you're using Linux.) Windows 7 64bit, MS Visual C++ Express 2010, Python 2.7.3, Scons 2.2.0, and just upgraded to Cafu r625. Once I make the following change in CompilerSet...

Trouble changing movement speed and camera height.
This is probably really simple, but with my inexperience with the code base and a healthy amount of code comments in German, I am at loss lol... For the sake of building a map at the appropriate scale, I need to recompile the following changes: 1. Increase movement speed by 200% to 400%. 2. Move the...

Re: Small repeating texture, huge map file size. Not sure wh
Awesome, that fixed the issue! Thank you so much Carsten! Funny thing happened though with my second test map. Somehow I managed to group it all together into one object last night. When I opened it today, I couldn't compile it, because it was technically considered to be just one brush lol... lesso...

Small repeating texture, huge map file size. Not sure why.
Hello! I've been having a lot of fun playing with this game engine. It's fantastic! However, I lack the knowledge to understand how to resolve the issue I am having. I would like to make an entire world that looks as though it is made out of solid black areas with blue crossed lines. The idea being ...
