Hey, nooblet is back :).

For a while we were using the C++ Quake 2 with the Delphi port of the game86.dll and things worked just fine. So I guess porting from one language to another is possible...in theory. Havn't tried it for Ca3DE mind I'm not that suicidal.

There are limitations in the bone structure, but don't forget that the next release of Ca3DE is mainly the MatSys and CaWE. There shuld be a new model format on the way and as for redoing all the anims, we will have to redo them at some point.

Hammer 4.0

It's been released, you need VALVe's 'Steam' service installed and HL2 pre-ordered. While it can open maps in .map format it will only save in .vmf which means that no support for Ca3DE :(.

Carsten, NVIDIA supports OpenGL 1.5 and ATI supports OpenGL 2.0, the 2.0 spec is identical to 1.5 spec except for a few new bits: http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2004Sep/bga20040910026876.htm To ensure that you have the latest support for OpenGL and Ca3DE simply update your drivers to the latest v...

I think I know what your on about, you need to apply the 'clip' texture to the face that won't be seen by the player. If your using Hammer just browse for the texture 'clip' and then apply it to the face. CaPVS would also probably do the same thing without removing the polygon, it would just stop th...

What exactly happens? Error Message? Can't see you textures in a world editor? I havn't made any textures yet but I'm pretty sure that you need a Normal, Differential and Specular texture for it to be valid.

I don't own an ATI card but it's of my upmost interest that any games we develop don't have these issues, so it's a very positive thing.

Hopefully this might also present a speed increase, any evidence to suggest this?
