Re: A few Questions
The implementation of shadow-maps (in this case as cascaded shadow maps), is one of my next major goals. I realize that the lighting of terrains is currently quite boring and that the Radiosity computations are slow, so this is a big issue to me that I'll address soon. Right now, we've already begu...

A few Questions
Hi Carsten I was just wondering, when will we see proper lighting on terrains?
Also on the Devmaster.net website, the Spherical Harmonic lighting is still listed, whats going on with it, is it still in the engine?
Thanks

Re: Ca3DE 8.08 (August 2008) released!
Just had a go of the terrain editing tools, very nice indeed and simple to use. I'm a big fan of the road tool, its so easy to make nice smooth slopes. Great work. I also love how you can work on the terrain height map directly in the top viewport. Also I'm happy to report that the stutterin...

Animation blending etc
One thing that I don't think has ever come up on the forums is animation blending. Does Ca3de already support it or is it coming later?

Shame you have to put up with rubbish like that, but glad to hear about the terrain editing tool coming in the next build, you ought to put some screenshots onto the wiki

The free version of Ca3de only come...

Re: Upcoming February 2008 release - RCs available!
Well it appears to work. Unfortunately my geforce 6600 died yesterday and the only replacement agp card I could find on short notice was a horrible radeon 9250. As soon as any dynamic light occurs the frame rate dives into single digits, but I was able to tell that the shadow was moving a lot smoother
