Re: Dark lightmaps?
  I never thought that a simple compiler switch could fix all this problems! LOL The /J (Changes the default char type from signed char to unsigned char, and the char type is zero-extended when widened to an int type.) compiler switch solved both errors, from the wrong lightmaps to the...

And i'm using the maps bundled with that version. Also tried with the latest maps and got the same.

Re: Dark lightmaps?
I compiled it using a visual studio solution with the r-76 version of the Cafu source. The thing is that the maps aren't changed or compiled by me, so i don't think CaLight is the problem, neither the Deathmatch or the renderer DLLs (i haven't compiled or used them). Maybe i'm wrong, but this seems ...

Dark lightmaps?
Today I finished compiling the Cafu main executable. But everytime I open a map, i get some kind of weird dark lightmaps. I have made some modifications, (but not many to get this result !) i just would like to know where in the code (probably the Material system or the 3D engine itself) I can look ...

Re: Cafu visual studio solution?
Premake seems to be even easier than CMake. Here's information about building wxWidgets with premake: http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/Premake4

Cafu and CMake
Okay, so I'm trying to make right now the CMake for Cafu, this will help users used to a specific IDE to create the project files. But Carsten, there are some things about the libraries that are part of Cafu that get me confused: -what version of wxWidgets is using Cafu r-154? I think 2.9.1, but I c...

Re: Cafu visual studio solution?
Note that neither Cafu nor CaWE directly link to the Renderer or Sound DLLs. These DLLs are linked dynamically at run-time: there is no need to account for them at link time. Yes, that's true. The thing is that i was actually linking the DLL itself. :P Yes, I'd be happy about that! :-) (but a PreMa...

Re: Weird ?NOT FOUND texture when selecting objects in CaWE
Well, I finally could open it! I don't know how it took, i just left it opening and when I came back later it was opened! So, there's no bug. I was wonder, anyway, that it would be better for performance reasons (given that this is a 3D game engine) to write SIMD code paths for every vertex and math...

Re: Cafu visual studio solution?
Well, i know it's against cross-platform code, but I managed to make a VC++ solution with all the Cafu code, and it was pretty straight, tough. I have built all the code with no problems, but when it comes to the linking...mm..well, i found the library dependencies looking at the SConscript file, wh...

Re: Weird ?NOT FOUND texture when selecting objects in CaWE
When a brush is selected, the reddish tint is provided by an "overlay" material that is rendered on top of the normal material. That overlay material is defined in file CaWE/res/CaWE.cmat , which in turn refers to CaWE/res/Overlay.png . Please make sure that both of these files are in their proper ...

Weird ?NOT FOUND texture when selecting objects in CaWE
Hi, i have made some modifications to the engine, but after various builds I get this rare image saying ?NOT FOUND in a blue background applied on top of the object selected in the 3D view in CaWE. NOTE: The texture is actually found, i just see that NOT FOUND when I select the object, when it's des...

Cafu visual studio solution?
Hi, I've just downloaded the Cafu source and built it, everything was ok; but where are the VC++ .vcproj and .sln files? Or is there a way to use SCons to generate them? Apart from using the VC++ (2008) compiler I would like to use the IDE too, and the debugger (even more important). Thanks for your...
