Re: Mod Project: Zombie Holocaust
Here is a first impression on a female Zombie: Using the base mesh i sculpted in lots of anatomical details, since its all about some very old zombies (about few years) it is interesting to think haw the would look like. My idea is to create this one as a rather "younger" female zombie, so she is no...

Re: Request for comments: keyboard and mouse navigation in CaWE
Hi Carsten lets see: Can you (especially Kai, and others) please help me to understand this better? Im glad to help :) Its quite simple Most commands for the viewport are only used with a "drag" status of the button. Its still possible to simple click LMB to select something for example or do RMB to...

Re: Mod Project: Zombie Holocaust
Hehe the image is only a fast wrap up, its not even started, but i think specific shader could work very promising. Since my thesis will have realtime shader as main part, i want to try out as much as possible. I found out that a realtime Subsurface scatter shader seems to be very simple (basically ...

Re: Mod Project: Zombie Holocaust
I researched for some more up-to-date render techniques, as stencil shadows are not really popular anymore due to their poly based nature. Shadowmapping seems to be less accurate but much faster and versatile for arbitrary geometry and post effects. So i found an interesting pdf (again :) ) regardin...

Some new ideas
Hi everyone, it been a while , but i'm constantly visiting the forum. A friend of mine who works here had a nice idea for a gamemod. I know that creating a NEW mod requires alot of efford and its by no mean that i would say to do it exactly like that (besides its only an idea) However i guess it may...

Re: Maya?
Hi maybe i can give you some more info. The problem with Maya PLE is that it is a restricted version for learning, hence the name P ersonal L earning E diton. The mp. file format is only used by that version of Maya, of course the normal Maya Version can load mp files. I guess that the PLE Editon is...

Re: FMX 08 Event
Jep its always in Stuttgart, every year around may and for 4 days. Only flaw is maybe the price for "ordinary" people, which is pretty high for full access, students pay a very low price (50 bucks)... On the other side this prevents non-business people or kids to show up, so its a very nice and encl...

Thanks :) Red Ceiling was made in about 2 months, and was my 2nd term final movie. I decided to go for some "real" look, and i wanted a more moody story, most of my other students decided to do more fun stuff, comic look etc. Im not really satisfied with the short, because -it starts and ends not qu...

Hi Sindwiller It looks like your alpha is not correct set. You need a soft transition not a clipped alpha (that is mainly used for stencil out purpose like plants), so the one on your shot looks clipped at some range. Im currrently not uptodate for the mat prefixes to get soft alpha blending but it ...
