Ca3de is a commercial product, you have to pay if you want to get all the engine code or a proper SDK. The ...

Does CA3DE use texture compression?
I just noticed you guys are using nothing but png format for your textures, is this because ca3de doesnt have texture compression? I use bitmaps and they run rather slow, my vidcard is a bit too wussy to handle uncompressed materials. This may explain why ca3de doesnt run as smooth as it should for ...

Detail textures
Will the new shader system allow us to have detail textures on regular textures? Or will it be limited to terrain textures only? It would be a alternative for textures where a bump map wouldnt look good, like on cloth. Now lets just say the answer to the above question is yes, is it possible to have...

Why dont you guys download the Half-life 2 edition of softimage? Its a hell of a lot better than milkshape or whatever else you use. It will export to the format you need.

Well I worked out my problem and it turns out some of my files were corrupted, so I unziped a fresh copy and it all works ok. But for reference for fragger here is how it should look in the command prompt. I'm thinking he may have left off the end part which tells the compiler where the textures are...
