A few notes about the latest developments: I'm currently working on making the Ca3DE DeathMatch MOD finally playable. That means adding and enhancing some engine network properties, and extending the DeathMatch source code. The new release, planned for mid March or early April, will contain a particle system and sound support, and at least some of the weapons will work.
After that, one of the next major steps will be support for dynamic lights and shadows, making use of the latest developments in accelerated 3D graphics. I'm already doing early tests and investigations in this, and will start work on it as soon as the next release is out.
