Softimage XSI

Did anybody get anything imported into CA3D with the halflife2 edition of xsi?
:?:
I actually bought the foundation edition of XSI just a couple of days ago, I've been wanting to try out the valve XSI exporters with it but they havent been released over steam yet. I dont really want to have 2 versions of the same software installed.

I'd be interested to know, too.

Can XSI import/export ASE model file format be the way?
Are the XSI file format specs available?

I'd really love to add support for Ca3DE... (so that anybody who models for HL2 can also use his models in Ca3DE). :)
Best regards,
Carsten

No unfortunately not, but there is a program called 3d object exporter that I do beleive can read XSI files and save to ASE, I havent tried it yet.

As for the XSI file format specs

The ftk should be what you need to get xsi support going. I dont know if the HL2 edition of XSI can export to the XSI format though.

The half life 2 edition exports to .smd which is a very simple format.
No-one quite knows why I'm here...
