This is the final version that we discussed in the old forum, right?
(Or is it an update?)
Anyways, I liked and still like it a lot - it is very good. :)
Btw, if you happen to have this song in source form (i.e. uncompressed), would it be possible to also encode it in ogg vorbis file format? (or to convert it to ogg from mp3, which is probably a quality loss?)

I intend to switch from FMOD to OpenAL for sound and music support in Ca3DE sooner or later, and OpenAL works better with ogg these days...

Best,
Carsten

Hi Carsten,
I have a 7.5 MB OGG file that i can send you. Problem is, that i do not have the raw data, it's still on REwIrED's hard disk.....i will ask him to send me the files. Problem is, that he moved (or is still moving) to hamburg. I don't know when his Internet Connection is available :)

But i will take care of it.

Have a nice day!

Well, its not pressing. We still have plenty of time before the next release. If you don't mind, you can send me the ogg version, otherwise (if re-converting it from raw yields better results) just take as long as it takes. ;)

Best,
Carsten

Have you ever heard of audiere? http://audiere.sourceforge.net/

I don't know much about it myself but I thought I'd post it on the off chance it saved you some work. The license says you can use it in commercial products but only unmodified.

Thank you very much for the info!
Afaics, Audierre cannot play 3D sounds, but I'll check it out anyway.

I think you can get it to just decode it so you could still play it through openal if you liked. It'd be more work though I suppose.
