New Player Model

Post by bigjj13 » 2010-07-17, 16:15

Hi

I just found this
2006_10_07_uscm.zip
(224.5KiB)Downloaded 523 times
Player model, but Im not able to use it.

I just dropt it in the players folder, but when I run Cafu.exe there is another Player.

Can someone help me importing this Player?

Thanks

BigJJ

This is a perfect example for the type of problem that the new Model Editor that I'm currently working on will solve.

Until then, put these two files into directory Games/DeathMatch/Models/Players (besides the USCM.mdl file):
uscm_head.png
uscm_head.png (14.42KiB)Viewed 13679 times
uscm_body.png
and this file unzip into directory Games/DeathMatch/Materials/Models:
uscm.zip
(268Bytes)Downloaded 505 times
Then it will work.
Best regards,
Carsten

Hi,

Now I can Import the player as a model, and I can select USCM in the game menue, but in a network game I look like Trinity.
My shadow is Trinity, too.

Both PCs are using the same engine wite the player model in it.

Thanks for any help!

Ok, now also please have a look at http://trac.cafu.de/browser/cafu/trunk/ ... r.cpp#L231. Just add another line to that array that matches your model (make sure you get the commas right near the end of the list), and recompile. Then it should work.

Thanks for sharing this! - I'll definitively try some of these models when the new model editor is ready for testing...
Best regards,
Carsten
