Im having trouble making a wad file. i added several new textures into the directory but it will not compile them. is it because i do not have a matching normal map for them or what?

What exactly happens? Error Message? Can't see you textures in a world editor? I havn't made any textures yet but I'm pretty sure that you need a Normal, Differential and Specular texture for it to be valid.

The file names of your textures have to end with one of the following:
_diff.bmp
_diff.tga
_diff.png
Then it should work.
