Cafu be trolling

Post by MonoAlithica » 2012-04-23, 00:23

Help, whenever I start Cafu it comes up with this error.. I have no idea what it means nor do I have the knowledge in order to fix it.
I tried compiling my small map (which took FOREVER by the way) and it crashed when Cafu opened at the menu screen. Now it doesn't load at all thanks to this message.

This makes me very :( Please help! Thanks

That means another program is using that port, ether you have a dead cafu running the background or some obscure software uses port 30000.

You can use "netstat -a" in cmd for show all active connections.
And check process "cafu.exe" (copy of runned Cafu). If you start Cafy copy, then you got this error.

Hi MonoAlithica,

in addition to what HWGuy and Paranoia said (try out their advice first), also an overly aggressive firewall or virus scanner might be the culprit.

By the way, what version of Cafu are you using, and what OS?
Best regards,
Carsten

Not to worry, it was my firewall in the end.. ZoneAlarm I think its called.
