first of all, there is some news: http://www.ca3d-engine.de/news.php
There is still a problem under Linux that I hope to be able to fix soon. I already figured out that it is really a very old problem that is just showing up again. I even have a very small demo program from earlier that reliably reproduces the problem... so chances are good to find a fix or work-around soon.
Second, I'm planning to upgrade the content-management system that powers the Ca3DE website, which unfortunately means that a new theme will be required, as the new version is not backward-compatible with regard to themes.
So I've started to search for and review many theme candidates. This time, I think it would be a good idea to install a bright theme, giving the website a more professional look.
Here are some of the candidates that I've taken into account:
- http://e107.org/ (The theme that this very site has.)
- http://e107themes.com/e107_plugins/them ... /theme.php (This site lists the default themes that come with the new version, some of which are really good. You can get a live preview by clicking one of the images. (Then use the Back button to go back.) I'm currently running one of these themes with great success at http://www.fsv-howei.de )
- http://www.e107styles.org/e107_plugins/ ... php?id=688 (A single candidate in several color variants.)
- http://www.infade.net (The five themes under "5 Latest Themes".)
The new theme should have reasonably big fonts, though - I don't like characters that are only 6 or 8 pixels high... (e.g. the font at http://www.ca3d-engine.de/news.php is too small for my taste).
Please let me know your opinions -- thank you very much in advance!
