No renderer qualified.
Sorry, was not able to find any renderer that is supported on your system.
New Ca3DE still doesn't run
It's still crashing. I'm running XP on this system. The card is a nVidia GeForce 7800GT.
Hi Stephen
For one, if you can copy the .zip file from your Windows box to your Linux box, there is no need to download it again - the .zip file contains both the Win32 as well as the Linux i686 binaries.
Second, 16 MB GPU RAM and 400 MHz is not a system configuration that is likely to run the latest Ca3DE TechDemo map, which requires 256 MB GPU RAM normally and even about 64 MB when texture quality is reduced to low...
Okay, and if it turns out that the OpenGL drivers are fine, please check these points, too: http://ca3d-engine.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2220#2220Stephen wrote:I'm pretty sure I have the newest drivers installed... I'll check that, and wether any other OpenGL apps woek later.
Uhhhh! Not recommended!Stephen wrote:Meanwhile, I'm downloading it to try on my Linux box to try it out. It kind of sucks to play games on though (16mb graphics card, 400mhz processor)..

Well, I can give it a go. It played the techdemo in previous releases OK, although that wasn't textured...Carsten wrote:Second, 16 MB GPU RAM and 400 MHz is not a system configuration that is likely to run the latest Ca3DE TechDemo map, which requires 256 MB GPU RAM normally and even about 64 MB when texture quality is reduced to low...
Oh, and
Yes, Tried both, It contains cg.dll, cgGL.dll, FMod.dll, and a couple of executables, Posted it above, and XP.
- * Did you uncompress the zip file properly so that the directory structure has been preserved?
* Did you run Ca3DE.exe by double-click in Windows Explorer or by command-line? (Did you run it so that the "working directory" was the same directory the Ca3DE.exe is in?)
* What is the contents of the folder that contains the Ca3DE.exe file?
* Could you please copy the Ca3DE console output (the text in the "DOS-Box") here?
* You're running Windows 2000 or XP, right?
