One thing that I don't think has ever come up on the forums is animation blending. Does Ca3de already support it or is it coming later?

Good question! :cheesy: Well, animation blending is not inherently difficult to implement with skeleton based models, and as such you could say that Ca3DE has basic (but currently not usable) support for it.

From a programmers point of view, animation blending comes near the end of the "feature chain" with regards to model support. I consider animation blending an exciting feature that is very important, but as one of my currently active work topics is improving the model support in general, animation blending only comes next.

(If you have any specific model format in mind, or a concrete model with several animations that you would like to blend, etc., please let me know. I always prioritize concrete problems in order to find a solution early that holds until the issue is addressed in a more general fashion.)
