Do they? Or can I load them onto a disk and distribute them for free?

Well, they do, but you can of course put the engine on the same disk as well, and still distribute the entire disk for free.

:( I've been searching for a free engine that will allow me to create a game (Using Lua is a plus) and allow me to create an installer for it so I don't have to distribute huge files on the disk  .

Well, Cafu can do all that, and you can make the result available for download if you prefer this over shipping disks.
