Messiah Studio 5 Pro Edition limited offer

Post by Kai » 2011-02-11, 17:51

Hey all

i would like to inform all hobbyist and upcoming pros to check out the limited offer of Messiah Studio 5 !

Its a fully fledged professional animation and rigging software that also includes a nice renderer and lots of great features to get cool animation.

Since it would normally come for the price of 500 or 1100 Dollar (depending on the Version) they now offer it for a viral campaign at some hillarious price of
10 or 40 bucks.
Only thing is, that it needs to reach the goal of orders to ship the license in the end.
Fear not, if they do not reach the goal all will be refund ;)

So how can you NOT order a version for 10 bucks of this great animation software ???
At this point bar is about 70%, since it started around 7th february so be quick and have fun... maybe next week ? :v:

Update
The deal was sealed, sorry for all who could not grab a copy

Hehe, this is looking good -- I just got a pro edition, even if only for "upgrading" my personal learning level regarding modelling! :-)

Thanks for sharing this!!
Best regards,
Carsten

Be careful, this application is intended for animators and rigger. It is NOT software for modeling and does not offer any of these requirements.
But it will offer excellent animation capabilitys both joint based and point cloud/vertex based (for deformation and morphs)

Since it heavily relys on FBX i think you will have great ways to mainstream the pipeline Messiah <> Cafu Modeleditor :D

If you need a cheap but very good modelling software, i suggest you try Silo http://www.nevercenter.com/
This cost about 100 Dollar for the core version, 150 for the Pro, but offers a very slim and userfriendly modelling/sculpting/UV approach. It could go hand in hand with messiah.
Silo is very nice, and customizable but lacks sometimes stability and the community feared that Silo was almost abandoned, although it seems the company recovered a little as they communicate again about more updates.

Anothere recommendation would be 3dCoat http://www.3d-coat.com/buy-now/, which aims more towards the highpoly sculpting approach, but offers excellent tools for lowpoly creation and transfer of maps, for only 99 Dollar educational version.
3D Coat is an amazing piece of software and suprisingly almost entirely made by a single developer. It features almost anything users demand in other packages (support for 3d devices, disneys ptex algo and many more)

Would you mind adding this information to one of the relevant threads listed at http://www.cafu.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=856 (or alternatively directly to that thread)? Then we'd have everything in one place, for future reference etc.

No but wouldn't it be more practical to put the relevant info in this thread as a general list and make it sticky so it could be maintained from time to time, rather than linking again into another thread that may get outdated again ?

Yes, sure. I added the additional linking in the hope to keep things logically grouped, but if you see a better solution, I'd be even more happy about it! :D

There is also the option to create a Wiki page for this purpose, I was just not sure if I should start one myself - things like these seem to work best where they're close to everyone's eyes and mind. ;)
Best regards,
Carsten
