Okay, I'm not very good at this, so lamens terms please.
1. When I try to start the engine, an error shows and says "Could not fill list with model names!"
2. I don't know how to compress SO files and dll files.
Two issues with new demo engine.

Hi Ken,
welcome to the Ca3DE forums!
Alternatively, when Ca3DE.exe is run with a wrong working directory, this error can occur, too, but if you simply double-clicked Ca3DE.exe in the Windows Explorer, that should not happen.
(I guess that your OS is WinXP, as you didn't state it.)

That typically indicates that you un-zipped the .zip file without preserving the directory structure. Please check if all files went into a single directory (wrong), or if all the subdirectories have been properly extracted.88ken88 wrote:1. Sorry, I don't understand the question. You don't have to do anything with these files, Ca3DE will load them automatically as required.2. I don't know how to compress SO files and dll files.
Best regards,
