Ca3DE abort on fedora 6

Post by amman » 2007-06-30, 15:03

Hi there,

when I try to run the Ca3DE executable on my fedora 6 system (geforce 6600 with most recent drivers, athlon xp 2200+ and 1.5 gb ram), it crashes after opening a window. I moved the libRender*.so files one by one as they were chosen from their directory to try the next one, but it aborted with all render libraries. I also tried windowed mode but nothing worked.

As there are no symbols in the executable and libraries, this is the only thing, gdb showed as backtrace (if it helps :) ):

Code: Select all

Hi Amman,

thank you very much for your report!
Please let me know which version (release date) of Ca3DE you are experiencing the abortion with. If you've not yet tried the latest RC from http://www.ca3d-engine.de/phpBB2/viewto ... =2408#2408 then please download it and try again.

Also, if the problem persist with the above file, is there any screen (console) output before the crash occurs? If so, please post here!
:thx:
Best regards,
Carsten
